Goals: Hermod 3, Rob D 2, Forlan, Joe, Aidan, Steve G.

We produced a sterling performance against hapless Legal Head side who were competitive for much of the first half but failed to bring anything to the game in the second stanza.

As usual our dominance in possession of the ball in both midfield and up front was a delight to see. Simon was having a sterling game up front along with Hermod chasing everything down and causing loads of problems. The first goal came from an outstanding pass through the midfield from Steve G to see young Joe slam into the back of the net.

Just before half time Steve G found himself clear in the box with the goal at his mercy but only to be clipped by the Legal Head defenders leg as he was about to take the shot. A penalty was conceded and Hermod stepped up to put us 2 nil up at the break.

The second half was much the same we continued to dominate possession and finally the flood gates opened. Aidan weaving his magic beat three players in midfield layed of to Hermod and then to Knowlzer who put delightful ball back to Aidan who slammed it in the back of the net first time. It was terrific goal but there was more to come, Hermod was linking well with Knowlser and another amazing through ball saw Hermod slot the ball away goal bound. Hermod rounded off his hat trick in quick succession and Rob’s recent goal scoring didn’t stop and he scored another brace shortly afterwards. Steve G last years golden boot winner was anxious to get on to the scorers sheet and after a few cracking saves by the keeper finally found the net to his relief netting his first goal of the season.

However all plundits must go to Forlan’s goal which will probably go down as the goal of the season. Another assist from Knowlzer on the right who’s crossed found Forlan unmarked at the edge of the box. Did the young man stop it or bring it down…nope…a fantastic volley first time left the keeper in awe like the rest of us. A terrific goal capped off an thumping win. Well played to all an outstanding performance, defence leading by return of Briggsy and Bertie marshaled well in the centre. Able supported by Steph and Thomas D who both had terrific games.

MOM: Hermod.
