Goals: Forlan 2, Mike K

With 11 to start with on Friday morning the omens didn’t look good that we would get a full 11. However the call of the wild saw the likes of Jim R, Kevin, Miles, Hoy, Andy B come to the fore to make the numbers. However at kick-off with Briggs still trying to locate the ground somewhere in Kowloon City walls and a few strugglers we had the bare numbers with a reserve or two.

Kick Off and spirited start by our opposition saw Bertie getting done by a pretty quick striker of theirs only to be thwarted by cool as you can get save by Thomas. As the half went on we seem to get in our stride even if it was still first gear creeping to second. Forlan forever dangerous skipped and jumped past his defender in a nice bit of individual skill to put us ahead 1 nil.

Then 5 minutes later a masterly chip by Knowlzer put Forlan in for his second. As the half drew to close Briggsy made his presence felt with a smart comment that saw Knowzler slam the ball in his direction off the pitch only to receive a yellow card. It was all very comical.

Half Time and we looked in cruise control with many compliments by the manger for sterling effort even though a few eyebrows where raised at the time.

Second half was one way traffic with a well taken goal by Knowlzer put us 3 up earlier doors. We continued to pepper the BOC’s half with some glaring misses. In the end no goals where added and players seemed quite energized after the match which even resulted in a penalty shoot put competition which Thomas D pipped Andy B to take the $600. A good turnout at the Inn-side Out Bar and other establishments in Wanchai  saw for a good Saturday out.

Not the most impressive performance but we did enough to win comfortably with Forlan taking his chances well and narrowly missing out on Man Of Match honors to Thomas D.

No training session for the next two weeks.  We have a game this Friday Night vs Monopoly will send an email out.
