Goals: Gordon 4
A game in which we expected a much tougher game patter out into an easy one in the end. We started off well with Janny having a few clear cut chances to put us ahead however failed to trouble the keeper. However his strength along with a dominance in midfield paved the way for Steve G first of 4 goals. Stevie was also guilty of a few missed chances however eventually found the net to open his account after 10 minutes of play. The second goal saw Jan find some space on the right to cross it to Steve to slot home his second. His third and hat trick came quickly afterwards from a corner.
We continued to press and further chances fell to Medhi who hit a rocket against the crossbar and Stevie who failed to beat the keeper one on one. In the end USRC where happy to hear the half time whistle from the constant Spartans barrage and attack.
The second half was tougher game with some noticeable USRC players making there way to the match. We had to work harder and some good saves from Thomas kept things at bay. In the end Stevie rounded the game with his fourth goal. Some further misses by other players in the half meant we could have easily increased our advantage.
All in all excellent performance by everyone but Steve G winning MOM for his 4 goals.
