Nite Spartans 2 – 1 Carson – League Match 3

 

A great win for the Nites, we’ve bounced back really well since losing our first match of the season. A bit of a drab start to the first half in which we looked comfortable without really creating too many chances. The match came to life around 30 mins in with new signing Brucey scoring an audacious back-heel volley thing from a couple of yards out before Dan B and Charlie both had good shots from distance. The opposition upped their game in the second half really putting us under pressure and they grabbed a deserved equaliser. In the end a great bit of battling and pass by Oli into Brucey who finished with a lovely chip won us the game. A good team knows how to win ugly….

Nite Spartans 6-0 Ma On Shan FC – Friendly

 

Less of an even game this one with every spartan and his dog trying to get on the score-sheet. Phil was practically sleeping for most of the game as we passed the opposition off the pitch. Nonetheless it was a worthwhile match and if we take that passing style in to the league I’m sure we’ll start dominating more matches. Great debuts from both Baz and Alf with Baz scoring 2 and Alf scoring 1.
