So on to game 15 of the season against Spurs. We started with the usual formation of 2-3-1 with the starting line up:
GK: Dan
D: Woody and Bertie
M: Jens, Danny and Rossy
S: Rich
We dominated the first half but failed to find the back of the net. Having the majority of the possession with their only threat being their tall striker but with Bertie and Woddy our 2 big defenders he struggled to cause any real damage as they contained him very well.
Game 14 of the season saw us take on a team we had previously beaten 10-3 but had drawn against J Leaguers and playing on fast pitch 14 did not do us any favours.
We started with the new formation of 1-3-2 we started with:
GK: Dan
D: Bertie
M: Stef, Oz and Nathan
S: Joe and Randy
The ball being hard to control and our touch not being great either made it hard for us to get a foot hold in the game. Stef managed to shot from near the half way line a low driving shot that went past some players and goal keeper into the bottom corner to take us into the lead. Our new formation was not really working and after hitting the post they managed to equalize to make it 1-1. Stef dropped back into defence and we played our normal formation of 2-3-1.
This was it, the big game of the season was upon us and a test to see what we were really made of. We were playing J Leaguers the only undefeated team like ourselves in the league.
